Welp,

no apples were baked. But I did make some seitan! I dislike those shirts which pronounce: {praise | worship} seitan. It reminds me of a tiny tiny plant tendril straining for the light. Got Clever?
I someday might want to make it the hard way, but for now I am perfectly happy to juse gluten flour and live in a futuristic world of chrome convenience.

I'm afraid I blew some minds today by introducing sigma summation notation.
I was suprised at the end of class today. One of my students who doesn't seem to finish anything and gets what look like failing grades on quizzes etc, had a very good insight about what I was doing. He'd figured out something. I'm sure almost everyone could, with prompting, make the same conclusion. In a sense, I'm more pleased that he was staying awake and thinking.
