A Welcome addition

Who knows why, but I've had interesting dreams the past two days. Semi lucid, I suppose. In the first one, a hurricane visited (current events, anyone?) but we discovered that it was cover for an alien ship extracting rare minerals. For example, in our shelter there was a small open skylight. On a counter were a few homemade ceramic mugs. One, especially, had a crusty blue glaze with "rare" minerals in it. A teeeny tiny little whirlwind came down through the skylight and gently took the cup up into the eye of the hurricane. Then another one came for the less mineral-rich cups.

In today's dream, I was performing some very general hygiene in preparation for some sort of expedition. Specifially, we were removing our worms. I thought "I don't have any worms." But lo and behold, right there on my stomach was a lump looking like two fingers (albeit fingers with foreskins!!!) One of them just came off with no problem like it was attached with velcro. The other one required me to pinch off a little of my belly skin to get it off. I told the doctor present about the second one and he suggested that we be more thorough and see if I'd really gotten it all the way off.
He poked a chopstick into the hole created in my skin where I'd pinched off the second worm. (This didn't hurt for some reason) Raking around, he managed to highlight a long thin "tail" as a raised path beneath my skin. he pulled on the protruding bit and raked around again. This process continued, exposing the worm-tail in a winding path that went around my midsection once, up my armpit, around my shoulder, across my back, and down onto my belly again, where he was finally able to yank out the end. This end looked much more disgusting, like a stiff, pale-pink worm about the size of an index finger but with a gaping wreath-shaped mouth on one end which allowed one to see inside it.
I thought: "good thing I checked!"
