So I managed to find and clean out the blower fan in the truck. It was pretty easy to do actually, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the problem. There was a big lump of insulation and some pine needles sitting in there, and once it was gone: presto! a quieter and more blowy blower!
I think I can fix trixie's in the same way, too!
