Don't Panic
Just saw Hitchiker's. I was quite pleased! The plot deviated from the book as it went on, but that's just fine by me! I already *KNOW* how the books go.
I recall in highschool, a teacher mentioning how Douglas Adams was trying to be like Kurt Vonnegut but failing to communicate the humanism. I didn't want to even consider it, since I thought they were hilarious in grade school.
Having read Mostly Harmless, though, I can believe that D.A. had a different outlook later in life and influenced the movie thusly.
I thoroughly enjoyed the updated guide and the BBC marvin cameo, all the aliens on Vogsphere, and the yarn barf.

2 Stalk(s):
the yarn barf was teh best. I and I do mean 'teh.'
I did laugh out loud twice. That was one. The other was some awful(awesome) joke that almost slipped under the radar.
